Went to  Reddish Vale park this Sunday to see if the swans on the small lake had got their babies yet!.

First a call at the information centre to see if the Blue Tits had fledged yet and they were still in the nest and of the nine eggs eight had hatched and were being well fed by their patents!

Whist having a drink saw this Pigeon on the feeding table outside the window. 

The swans on the small lake still in-waiting, can just see a cheeky Coot diving near the nest!, the male will soon see him off!.

Was told that there was a pair of swans on the big lake with babies, so it was off over there to catch them if possible, no need to panic there they were in full view showing off their beautiful brood!.

A lot of these pictures I know, but aren't they cute and how can they say "Ugly ducklings"

Now that's ugly, but there again as they say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" don't they.

This is the last one, but wil be visiting them again so look out for them growing up.

Also at the park on the day, there were some Coots with their babies.

Both parents going all out to make sure their babies are not going short of food, don't know if that's Mum or Dad just diving under there?.

Today, Monday was at the Lake at Etherow but due to it being Bank holiday was packed out so Pepe and I went up the high paths where it was a bit quieter away from the hustle and bustle of the families with the screaming little girls!, I must be getting old!.

Came home early and had an hour in the garden with my book before dinner.

Great author by the way!, the beer's not bad either!.
